As the law enforcement officers established, the detainee stabbed the victim during the conflict.
As determined by operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Lviv Oblast Police together with employees of the Police Department of the Stryi District Police Department, on August 24 at 11:10 p.m., a 26-year-old resident of Novy Rozdol, while staying in one of the apartments on Chornovola Street, during the conflict inflicted three stab wounds to the head and neck and breasts to the 28-year-old owner of the apartment.
The perpetrator was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Soon, the court will choose a preventive measure for the detainee.
According to the fact, investigators of the territorial division of the police, under the procedural guidance of the Stryi district prosecutor’s office, opened criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 15 of part 1 of article 115 (Attempt to murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of seven to fifteen years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
