We would like to remind you that in the conditions of martial law, maximum punishment is provided for theft, robbery, robbery, extortion and looting.
On September 8, around 4:30 p.m., the police received a report that an unknown person had stolen money from a donation box from a temple in one of the villages of Zolochiv district.
The investigative and operative group and employees of other services of the police department No. 1 of the Zolochiv district police department worked at the scene of the incident. As a result of the measures taken, operatives established that a 37-year-old man from Lviv was involved in the theft, and detained him in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The law enforcement officers also discovered and seized physical evidence from him.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 185 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Soon, the court will choose a preventive measure for the detainee.
