Since the beginning of the year, 178 people have died in road accidents in the Lviv region

Since the beginning of 2024, 1784 road accidents have occurred on the roads of Lviv region, with 14 children killed.

This was reported by the Lviv Oblast Police.

According to the police, from 1 January to 14 October, a total of 8196 accidents occurred in the Lviv region. Among them: 178 people died and 2,350 were injured.

In addition, the police registered 444 accidents involving children in the region, of which 377 involved injuries. As a result of the accidents, 14 children died and 445 were injured.

The most common types of accidents are collisions and pedestrian collisions, and the causes are violations of manoeuvring rules, exceeding speed limits and failure to maintain a safe distance.
