Over the past day, seven traffic accidents involving injuries were recorded in the Lviv region. Six people were injured, and one person tragically lost their life.
Most of the accidents involved pedestrians. Police urge drivers to follow traffic rules, particularly in populated areas where the speed limit is 50 km/h. When approaching pedestrian crossings, drivers must exercise maximum caution and give way to pedestrians.
Safety Tips for Pedestrians
- Cross the road only in designated areas and follow traffic rules.
- Ensure there is no danger before stepping onto the roadway.
- Avoid stepping onto or running into the road unexpectedly, even at pedestrian crossings.
- Use reflective elements during dark hours or in low visibility conditions to make yourself visible to drivers.
