Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, an indictment against a citizen of Ukraine was sent to the court. He was charged with collaborative activity (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that in April 2022, the accused voluntarily took the position of chief in an illegal law enforcement agency created by the occupying authorities of the Russian Federation.
We are talking about the 28th fire and rescue unit in the village. Bilovodsk, Starobil District, Luhansk Region, Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergency Situations, and Disaster Relief “LNR”.
Having sworn allegiance to the aggressor state, the man performs the duties of rescuing and evacuating people from fires, extinguishing fires, and also prevents similar incidents on the territory of a terrorist organization.
A special pre-trial investigation was carried out by the investigators of the SBU Office in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
