For the theft of a tablet in Sokal, a native of Russia was sentenced to 5 years in prison with a probationary period of 1 year

In Sokal, a native of the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation stole a tablet worth almost 6 thousand hryvnias from her partner

As stated in the verdict of the Sokal District Court, while staying in the apartment building of her partner, she intentionally secretly stole a Teclast tablet worth UAH 5999 from the room, which belonged to the victim, and then disposed of this stolen property at her own discretion, causing the man material damage in the above amount.

During the court hearing, the accused pleaded guilty to the crime and agreed with all the factual circumstances of the case.

The offender handed over the tablet to a pawnshop, which the victim redeemed at the Skarbnitsa pawnshop for UAH 3,600, and the tablet is currently in the victim’s possession.

The court found her guilty under Part 4 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced her to 5 (five) years of imprisonment.

On the basis of Article 75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, to release the convicted person from serving the main sentence with probation and to establish a probationary period of one (1) year, if she does not commit a new criminal offence during the probationary period determined by the court and fulfils the duties imposed on her. And also to recover from the woman in favour of the victim UAH 5,3600 (three thousand six hundred) in material damage.

It should be noted that at the moment an appeal can be filed against the verdict.
