On 5 December, a drunk driver damaged two cars in Lviv.
This was reported by the Patrol Police of the Lviv region. The statistics of road accidents involving drunk drivers over the past month have also become available.
Yesterday, around 7pm, we received a report of an accident on Vyhovskoho Street. A driver driving a Skoda Octavia A5 collided with a Suzuki Ignis and a Smart.
During the conversation with the 46-year-old driver, the inspectors detected signs of alcohol intoxication. The driver was offered to take a breathalyser test using a Drager device. The result was 2.59 ppm.
The driver was issued a resolution under Part 1 of Article 126 (Lack of compulsory insurance policy) and two reports: under Article 124 (Violation of traffic rules that led to an accident) and Part 1 of Article 130 (Driving a vehicle while intoxicated) of the CAO.
By the way, in November, there were 16 accidents with victims on the roads of Lviv region involving drunk drivers. They injured 27 people. The police also drew up 657 reports for drunken driving over the same period.
