Over the past weekend on the roads of Lviv region in an accident five people died and two were injured

On April 23-24, four traffic accidents occurred on the roads of Lviv region, as a result of which five people died and two were injured.

So, on April 23, around 10.00, on the Kyiv-Chop highway near the village of Novyi Mylyatyn, Zolochiv district, the driver of a Skoda Octavia, a 41-year-old resident of Rivne, lost control and drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a minibus. As a result of the accident, both drivers and a passenger of the Volkswagen, a 42-year-old resident of Kyiv region, died at the scene.

In fact, investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Region Police opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to drive for up to three years.

Another accident occurred on April 23 at 10.20 pm on the Chervonohrad-Brody highway near the town of Radekhiv in the Chervonohrad district. According to the police, the driver of the Honda car, a 32-year-old resident of one of the villages in the district, lost control and drove into a tree. As a result of road accident from the received injuries the man died on a scene.

In fact, investigators of the territorial police department of Lviv region opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

On April 24, at about 5:30 p.m., in the village of Reklynets, Chervonohrad district, a Hyundai car driven by a 25-year-old resident of a village in Zolochiv district collided with a Viper motorcycle driven by a 25-year-old Chervonohrad resident. As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist died of his injuries at the scene, and the driver of the car was hospitalized with injuries.

In fact, law enforcement officers opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 286-1 (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of transport by persons driving while intoxicated) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of five to ten years.
