Two pedestrians injured in Lviv over the past day

The Lviv regional police once again calls on pedestrians to strictly follow the traffic rules, be careful and cautious, cross the road only on pedestrian crossings and on green light, and on drivers not to exceed the speed limit, avoid risky maneuvers and be careful when approaching intersections and pedestrian crossings. Take care of your life and health!

On April 11, at about 10:45 a.m., on Horodotska Street in Lviv, a 21-year-old Lviv resident hit a 54-year-old Kyiv resident in an Audi. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian was injured and hospitalized.

Another traffic accident also occurred on Horodotska Street around 20:00. As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, the driver of a Honda Hornet 250 motorcycle, a 16-year-old Lviv resident, hit a pedestrian, a 54-year-old resident of a village in Lviv district. As a result of the accident, the woman was injured and hospitalized.

Investigators opened criminal proceedings over these facts under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is up to three years of restraint of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.

Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
