Yesterday, December 5, 24-year-old representative of the national team of Lviv region Andriy Tyshkovets won the gold medal in the 48 kg weight category at the Ukrainian Boxing Championship.
Andriy is a graduate of the Lviv Professional College of Sports, today he trains at the Lviv Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery and at the Training and Sports Base of Summer Sports under the leadership of Roman Semenyshyn and Andriy Salva.
The athlete has been boxing since he was 13 years old. Before that, he mastered dancing. Today, Andriy is a member of the national boxing team. His sporting dream is a medal at the Olympic Games.
Two more representatives of the Lviv region became bronze medalists: Dmytro Kulya in the weight category of 71 kg, and Oleksandr Hrytsiv – in the category over 92 kg.
For the gold medal, Andriy will receive a reward from the youth and sports department of Lviv OVA in the amount of 15,000 hryvnias, and the bronze medalists will receive 8,000 hryvnias each.
