Over the past day, three pedestrians were injured in Lviv, including an elderly woman

The police of the Lviv region once again urges pedestrians to strictly follow the traffic rules, to be attentive and careful, to cross the road only at crosswalks and on a green light, and to use reflective elements in the dark. Take care of life and health!

So, on November 30 at 6 p.m. on Chornovola Avenue in Lviv, the driver of a BMW 420I, a 33-year-old man from Lviv, hit a 21-year-old local woman. As a result of the accident, the woman received bodily injuries and was hospitalized.

Another traffic accident occurred at 6:20 p.m. on Lyubinska Street. As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Volkswagen Passat, a 51-year-old man from Lviv, hit an 89-year-old local woman. As a result of the accident, an elderly woman was injured and taken to the hospital.

In addition, at 8:25 p.m. on Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street in Lviv, the driver of a Volkswagen Jetta car, a 60-year-old resident of Lviv, hit a 40-year-old local resident. As a result of the accident, the man received bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility.

Based on these facts, the investigators of the territorial units of the police of the Lviv region opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty stipulated by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
