The prosecutors of the Chervonograd District Prosecutor’s Office submitted to the court an indictment against a 33-year-old resident of the Kherson region on the fact of organizing the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that in July 2023, the accused illegally crossed the state border outside the checkpoints of two conscripted men.
He estimated his services at $1,700 per person.
The figure, being wanted for robbery in the Kherson region, illegally crossed the state border through the forest a few months ago.
After that, he returned the same way to Ukraine and transported his stepson and his friend to the Republic of Poland. There, the latter were detained by employees of the border service of the neighboring state.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the police department No. 2 of the Chervonograd police station of the GU NP in the Lviv region under the operational support of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment of the DPS of Ukraine and the Migration Police Department of the GU NP in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
