A 35-year-old Ukrainian man was on his way to Poland through the Rava-Ruska checkpoint in the Lviv region.
During the control, the border guards established that the man does not have the right to cross the border under martial law. In particular, it was stated in the documents submitted for inspection that he has limited fitness for service and is on military registration.
Having received a refusal to cross the border, the man tried to “solve the issue” by bribery. The border outfit refused the offer of a considerable bribe in the amount of 1,100 US dollars.
Based on this fact, a notification of the commission of a criminal offense under Art. 369 of the Criminal Code “Offering or providing an unlawful benefit to an official.”
The border guards handed over the bribe-giver to the National Police.
