Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Galician District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv, the pre-trial investigation was completed and an indictment was sent to the court against the former head of one of the departments of the Lviv City Department of Land Resources for official negligence that caused serious consequences for state interests (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). .
The investigation established that the accused, due to improper performance of his official duties, committed actions that subsequently led to the removal from state ownership of a land plot of the state forest fund with a total area of 1.15 hectares, located in the village of Bryukhovychi. As a result, he caused grave consequences for state interests.
The prosecutor’s office is taking measures to appeal to the court to cancel the right of private ownership of the land and return the specified plot.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
