An attacker is detained in Dnipro for the murder of a well-known public figure Iryna Farion

 

On July 25, an 18-year-old man was detained in Dnipro city, allegedly involved in the premeditated murder of a well-known public figure, MP of the VII convocation, Iryna Farion.

At present, under the procedural supervision of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the detainee is being served a notice of suspicion of premeditated murder (Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and the issue of choosing a measure of restraint is being decided.

It is known that during the preparation for the crime he rented at least three apartments in Lviv. He was identified using photos from smart surveillance cameras. He was detained in the city of Dnipro at his place of residence.

The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region with the operational support of the SBU.
