According to the public indictment of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the court found the citizen of Ukraine guilty of disseminating materials containing justification, recognition as legitimate, and denial of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine (Part 1 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
The prosecutor proved in court that during March-May 2022, in public posts on the banned social network Vkontakte, the convicted openly supported the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, actively distributed materials justifying the so-called “special operation” and denying the criminal actions of the Russian occupiers.
The investigation in the criminal proceedings was carried out by the investigators of the SBU Office in the Lviv region.
