According to the public indictment of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the court found the citizen of Ukraine guilty of disseminating materials with calls to change the borders of the territory of Ukraine, deliberate actions aimed at inciting national enmity and justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorifying its participants (Part 2 of Article 110, Part 1 Article 161, Part 2, 3 Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
He was sentenced to 5 years and 6 months of imprisonment with confiscation of all property.
Prosecutors proved in court that from February 24, 2022, through his own account on the banned Odnoklassniki social network, a resident of Lviv distributed posts in which he publicly justified the crimes of the Russian Federation.
In his publications, the man distributed materials calling for the termination of the existence of Ukraine and the creation of a new state on part of its territory – the Federal Republic of Ukraine.
Also, he posted materials where he spoke negatively and humiliated residents of western regions, rural residents, and Jews.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was carried out by investigators of the SBU Office in the Lviv region.
