A 26-year-old man was found guilty of the illegal sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) following a public indictment by prosecutors of the Stryi District Prosecutor’s Office.
The court sentenced him to 9 years of imprisonment with confiscation of all property.
Prosecutors proved in court that the convict was involved in the sale of narcotics and psychotropic substances in Strya.
To do this, the man registered in the Telegram chatbot, in which the curator assigned him a task – where and in what quantity to make bookmarks.
After that, the person involved went to a prearranged place, in particular, to a forest strip near a railway track. There, he used a screwdriver to make holes in the ground where he hid drugs. I marked the hiding place and photographed it. I sent the photo with the geolocation to the curator.
It is documented that in this way the man buried 81 bookmarks with prohibited means and substances.
For the work done, after the sale of each bookmark, he received a monetary reward – UAH 50 for an electronic wallet.
