In Lviv region, 21-year-old resident of Kherson tried to organize drug sale

A native of Kherson will be tried for purchasing PVP and amphetamine worth UAH 1.5 million

 

Prosecutors of the Yavoriv District Prosecutor’s Office sent to court an indictment against a 21-year-old native of Kherson. He is charged with illegal acquisition and storage with intent to sell particularly dangerous psychotropic substances in particularly large amounts (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that in April this year, the accused illegally purchased PVP and amphetamine, which he intended to sell.

To do this, he packed part of the “goods” at his place of residence in 16 separate parcels, with which he was detained near the post office while trying to send them.

In addition, the man made so-called “masterclasses” with prohibited substances in different locations in Novoyavorivsk and Lviv.

During the searches, a total of over 740 grams of PVP and amphetamine were found and seized. Their value at black market prices is over UAH 1.5 million.

The suspect is currently in custody without the right to be released on bail.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Yavoriv District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv region, with the operational support of the SBU Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv region.

Note: In accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person shall be presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved by law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
