Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the searches of those involved in the sale of heroin on the territory of Lviv and the region were completed (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It will be recalled that we are talking about an organized criminal group (the organizer was a previously convicted 35-year-old Lviv man who involved two more local residents in illegal activities), which developed a scheme for the sale of heroin on the territory of Lviv and the region. The sale of a particularly dangerous drug was carried out hand-to-hand, to trusted customers during face-to-face meetings, at a pre-arranged location.
The suspects were detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, one of them was detained by law enforcement officers “red handed” – directly during the sale of a particularly dangerous drug.
So far, searches have been conducted at the residences of all those involved and in their cars. In particular, heroin briquettes and rolls weighing about half a kilogram with a total value on the black market of about UAH 2 million were discovered and seized from one of them. In addition, electronic scales, mobile phones, SIM cards, bank cards and money in national and foreign currencies were confiscated.
Investigative actions are ongoing, the involvement of other persons in the commission of this crime is established.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Lviv Region under the operational support of the Department of Combating Narcotics Crime in the Lviv Region of the Department of Combating Narcotics Crime of the National Police of Ukraine.
