Under the procedural leadership of the Frankiv District Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Lviv, four local residents were notified of the suspicion of illegal acquisition, storage and sale of narcotics (Part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, in one of the districts of the city of Lviv, a group of people was engaged in the sale of “Subitex” tablets, which contain the narcotic buprenorphine.
The sale of drugs was carried out by prior agreement with clients during a personal meeting.
More than 550 drug-containing pills, cash, bank cards and mobile phones were found and seized during searches of the residence of the accused and their vehicles.
The value of seized narcotic drugs, at black market prices, is about UAH 250,000.
Investigations are ongoing, a number of examinations have been scheduled.
Precautionary measures in the form of detention were chosen for all the detainees.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the investigators of the Police Department No. 2 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region, operational support is provided by the Criminal Investigation Department in the Lviv Region of the National Police of Ukraine.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
