Prosecutors of the Galician District Prosecutor’s Office completed the pre-trial investigation and sent to the court an indictment against four members of an organized criminal group on the facts of illegal acquisition, storage and sale of narcotic drugs, committed repeatedly (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that a 37-year-old woman from Lviv created and led a criminal group with a clear definition of the roles of each participant and a single criminal plan, involving her acquaintances – 3 residents of Lviv.
The organizer of the criminal scheme supplied the drug methadone, after which she handed it over to her accomplices for further sale.
The sale of drugs was carried out from hand to hand.
Members of the criminal group are currently in custody.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police in the Lviv Region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
