Lviv resident to be tried for selling amphetamine and cannabis

Under the procedural supervision of the Lviv Region Prosecutor’s Office, the court received an indictment against a 41-year-old local resident on illegal acquisition, storage and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (Part 2, 3 Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the accused was selling amphetamine, cannabis and MDMA in Lviv.

Previously, the man illegally purchased prohibited substances and subsequently sold them to “customers”. He accepted orders for goods by phone and delivered them in person or by mail.

The suspect was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region, the operational support was provided by the SBU Office in Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved by law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
