Under the procedural supervision of the Drohobych District Prosecutor’s Office, a 31-year-old man with a previous conviction was exposed and served a notice of suspicion. He is charged with illegal acquisition, storage with intent to sell and sale of narcotic drugs (Part 2 Art. 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspect set up a drug deal in Drohobych.
The man sold cannabis to local residents. He accepted orders by phone, and customers received the goods at a meeting, directly at the suspect’s home.
During the searches at the man’s residence, the SBU found and seized ziplock bags and glass jars with a green substance of plant origin, electronic scales, mobile phones and cash.
The suspect is currently in custody.
Investigative actions are ongoing, a number of examinations have been ordered.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Drohobych District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv region.
Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
