In one of the villages of the Chervonograd prosecutor’s office, the suspect raped a minor

Under the procedural leadership of the Chervonograd District Prosecutor’s Office, a 33-year-old citizen of Ukraine was notified of suspicion of rape of a minor (Part 3 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in September of this year, in one of the villages of the Chervonohrad Region, the suspect raped a minor.

Previously, the defendant offered the victim to drink alcohol with him, to which she agreed. When the victim was heavily intoxicated, the suspect took advantage of her helpless state. After the crime, the man fled from the scene.

Thanks to the coordinated work of law enforcement agencies, the latter was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

At the prosecutor’s request, the suspect was given the strictest preventive measure in the form of detention without bail.

Investigations are ongoing.

The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by the investigators of Police Department No. 2 of the Chervonograd District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
