Under the procedural leadership of the Stryi district prosecutor’s office, a 26-year-old man was exposed and reported on suspicion of illegal acquisition, storage and sale of a psychotropic substance (part 1 of article 307, part 2 of article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspect sold marijuana to local residents on the territory of the Slavska Territorial Community. “Clients” agreed on the purchase through correspondence in the Messenger application. After that, the buyers transferred money to the suspect’s card using self-service terminals, and received the product itself at a personal meeting, disguised in a pack of cigarettes.
During searches of the suspect’s residence, a significant amount of psychotropic substance prepared for sale, packed in zip bags, electronic scales and other evidence was discovered and seized.
The suspect is currently in custody.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Stryi district police department of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
