Resident of Sheptytske to be tried for murder of her partner

Prosecutors of the Chervonohrad District Prosecutor’s Office sent to court an indictment against a 39-year-old local resident on the fact of premeditated murder (Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the accused killed her 42-year-old partner in August this year.

That evening, the woman and her husband were drinking alcohol. Subsequently, a conflict arose between them, which escalated into a scuffle. During the quarrel, the defendant stabbed her husband in the neck with a knife. The victim managed to run to the stairwell near the apartment, where he died of his injuries. The woman fled the scene.

However, thanks to the coordinated actions of law enforcement officers, she was detained.

Currently, at the request of the prosecution, the woman is in custody.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Sheptytskyi District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region.

Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person shall be presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved by law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
