In the villages of Tavriyske and Bila Krynytsia, several teams are repairing houses damaged by the occupiers.
Brigades from the Lviv region continue to rebuild the Kherson region within the framework of the “Side by Side” project. Bohdan Zakanych, a representative of one of the construction crews from our region, said that the workers from Lviv Oblast have already managed to restore all the damaged roofs on one of the streets of Tavriyske village.
“For 5 weeks, we replaced damaged roofs and managed to repair houses on an entire street. Many of the roofs in the village are chopped up fragments of enemy rockets, so the work had to be done before the onset of the rainy season. In the future, we plan to change the windows and doors, so our work here will continue until full recovery,” said Bohdan Zakanych.
A representative of another construction company, Ihor Ivanov, whose team is carrying out restoration work in the village of Bila Krynytsia, said that the settlement has more than 100 houses. Windows and doors in more than 50% of them have already been restored.
“Our team restored damaged windows and doors in 56 objects, so the boys returned. Now we are waiting for another crew to come out to replace the roofs. In the village, some residents managed to carry out repair work at the expense of the funds received by the state program ieRenovation. The local church also helps local residents in rebuilding their homes. Together we will be able to restore everything that the occupiers damaged,” Ihor Ivanov summed up.
As a reminder, Lviv Oblast is one of 15 regions of Ukraine that joined the “Side by Side” project, which aims to help rebuild the communities of Kherson Oblast, which were the most affected by Russian aggression. Our region took under its patronage the village of Bila Krynytsia, the villages of Nova Zorya and Tavriyske. In total, within the framework of the “Side by Side” project, Lviv Oblast plans to restore more than 300 objects. Sources of funding: funds from regional communities, as well as funds from the state budget of Ukraine (after the adoption of the State Program).
