Nineteen organizations will receive funds for projects within the framework of the competition from the Department of Youth and Sports of Lviv OVA

This year, 52 tender proposals from 26 public organizations were submitted to the competition for youth projects.

Today, March 24, the final meeting of the competition commission was held to determine the winners of this year’s competition of projects developed by civil society institutes. They will receive financial support within the framework of the regional program “Youth of the Lviv Region”, which is implemented by the Department of Youth and Sports of the Lviv Oblast.

This year, 52 tender proposals from 26 public organizations were submitted to the competition for youth projects. Based on the evaluation results, 19 public organizations implementing 24 projects were identified as winners. Among the submitted projects, the most common direction is national-patriotic education. 13 projects are being implemented in this direction. In second place is the activation of youth involvement in decision-making processes. 6 projects were the winners here.

In addition, in the field of development of the network of youth centers and spaces, 4 projects and 1 project aimed at improving the culture of volunteering among young people became the winners.

“No one will make such interesting projects for the youth as the youth themselves. Our task is to support their ideas and set a vector. Modern youth are interested in various niches – from training camps to youth business clubs. Project applicants have set high goals that will contribute to the comprehensive development of youth, so we hope that even those who will not receive funding will still be able to implement their plans,” Roman Khimyak, head of the youth and sports department of Lviv OVA, emphasizes.

The open defense of competitive proposals took place on March 22 at the Lviv State University. At it, representatives of public organizations presented the purpose, goals, budget and expected results from the implementation of the project.

“When evaluating projects, we took into account four main criteria: compliance of the project with the purpose of the competition, realistic achievement and significance of the expected results, expected effectiveness of the use of budget funds and the level of personnel and logistical support for the implementation of the project,” explains Roman Khimyak.

We remind you that the total amount of support for competitive proposals is UAH 1,500,000. You can get acquainted with the decision of the competition commission and the list of winning projects by following the link.
