Power engineers restore electricity supply to residents of Lviv region after bad weather

Thunderstorms with strong gusts of wind at night caused power outages in the Lviv region.

According to Lvivoblenergo, as of 07:30 a.m. today, 44 6-10 kV power lines were completely and 10 partially cut off due to the weather, as well as 82 settlements in different districts of Lviv region:

The power supply is being restored by 59 Lvivoblenergo crews consisting of 253 employees and 88 units of equipment.

Forecasters predict that thunderstorms will continue throughout the day, with gales of 15-20 m/s, hail, and heavy rain.

❗️Пам remember the safety rules: if you see damage to the power grid, do not approach the place where the power line wire has been broken at a distance of less than eight metres – you could get a fatal electric shock.

You should move away from the hazardous area with a “goose step” – bring your feet together, keep them close to each other and the ground, and move with small, sliding steps.

Organise security at the place of the wire break so that no one gets there until the Lvivoblenergo emergency team arrives.

If you see damaged power lines, immediately report the situation by calling 0-800-30-15-68 (round-the-clock, free of charge) or other call centre numbers: 067-333-15-68, 050-460-15-68, 093-170-15-68, (032) 290-75-68.
