The readiness of Lviv Oblast for the heating season is approaching 100 percent

A reserve of pipes, boilers, stationary and mobile heating points, additional power sources – Lviv Oblast is completing preparations for the heating season under martial law. Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of Lviv OVA, told about it.

“We are aware that the army of the Russian Federation is not human and they can target strategic objects. Therefore, together with the Department of Civil Protection of the Lviv Regional State Administration and all services, we did everything in our power to maximally protect the objects on which the heat and electricity supply in the region depends. Lviv OVA and all district military administrations of the region approved the Comprehensive plan for the autumn-winter period 2022/23. This document provides an algorithm of actions in case of damage to the facilities of heat energy, water supply, drainage, electricity supply and gas supply,” the head of the region noted.

They also made a reserve of pipes of various diameters, mobile power plants, gasoline generators, diesel fuel, and gasoline. The heat supply enterprises of the region have boilers in reserve.

Healthcare institutions of Lviv Oblast that provide emergency medical care are 100% equipped with additional power sources.

Lviv OVA has agreed with donor organizations on the transfer of mobile boiler houses, diesel generators, firewood, coal to healthcare and social institutions.

131 stationary heating points have already been created in the Lviv region, additionally the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region can ensure the deployment of another 25 mobile heating points. Donor organizations will give rescuers 38 air frame inflatable tents that can be used as mobile heating points.

“During the meeting that took place this Wednesday, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Community and Territorial Development emphasized that by the end of next week, all regions of Ukraine where there are no active hostilities should be 100% ready for the heating season. As of today, everything is going according to plan in the Lviv region. We understand that the occupier is capable of anything, but we are not afraid. We are preparing. Everything will be Ukraine! “, Maksym Kozytsky noted.
