The Lviv Region will develop the Superhumans Center together with Czech partners

On January 30, the first deputy head of Lviv OVA Andriy Godyk met with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Lviv.

Andriy Godyk thanked the representatives of the Czech delegation for the assistance provided by the Czech Republic to Ukraine, in particular to the Lviv region.

“It was much needed help, both in February and throughout the year. Ukraine and the entire civilized world faced unprecedented challenges. However, in communication with partners, including the Czech Republic, we resolved many humanitarian, defense, energy and other issues. For example, alternative sources of power for medical facilities, which the Czech Republic provided us, despite enemy attacks, became a guarantee that citizens will receive medical care in a timely and high-quality manner. I also thank you for supporting health care institutions, in particular those that work with the wounded, so that people can receive high-quality transplantation, rehabilitation, and prosthetics in really comfortable conditions,” he said.

As the director of the Department of Economic Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Marek Svoboda, emphasized, Ukraine really effectively uses the help it receives from the Czech Republic, and representatives of the delegation were once again convinced of this during their visits to regional medical facilities.

However, he added, today the Ukrainian state needs even more help, and he assured that the Czech Republic is ready to contribute to this.

“We are trying to do everything to ensure that the aid provided by the funds to Ukraine meets European standards,” said the director of the humanitarian aid department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Peter Gandalovich.

The parties also discussed the future activities of the Superhumans Center. This is a modern clinic for prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation and psychological support for war victims, which will soon be operational on the basis of one of Lviv’s medical institutions. For patients in the clinic, everything will be completely free.

“Superhumans Center is a complex project, multifunctional in many areas, starting from the energy efficiency of the building, the equipment that will be used, approaches in providing medical care, rehabilitation, prosthetics, psychological care, and all the way to training for doctors that will take place on the basis of the center,” — noted Andriy Godyk.

As Orest Chemerys, the head of the health care department of the Lviv Regional Medical Center, said, one of the primary needs of the center is to improve the material and technical base of the medical facility for high-quality reconstruction interventions, in particular, it is about the conversion and reconstruction of the sterilization and operating unit.

It should be noted that part of the operating equipment for the work of the center was provided by Czech partners.

According to the representatives of the Czech delegation, the Lviv region can become a rehabilitation center for citizens from different parts of the country. Specialists who will later provide such services in other areas will also be trained here. Therefore, the Czech Republic will continue to contribute to the development of the Superhumans Center.
