Today, February 16, American politician, Governor of New Jersey, Chairman of the National Association of US Governors, Phil Murphy, visited Lviv Oblast.
Together with his wife and representatives of the “United Sikhs” charitable organization, Phil Murphy visited one of the educational institutions in the Yavoriv region. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, several dozen displaced persons have found shelter here.

The American politician also met with Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of Lviv OVA.
“Thank you not only for accepting us, but also for your leadership, for the great courage that you and other leaders in Ukraine show. America will always be with Ukraine. It is a great honor for us to be here and I hope that this is the first of many visits to Ukraine,” Phil Murphy emphasized.
“Everyone we know has great respect for Ukrainians, who stand on the guard of democracy and freedom. The people we met here have all these traits. In addition, they are also very sincere and kind,” added the governor’s wife, Tammy Murphy.
In his turn, Maksym Kozytsky thanked the USA in the person of the governor of the state of New Jersey for the significant support it provides in the fight against the Russian enemy.
“For us, your visit is also a strong support that we feel every day from the USA since the first days of the war. As you mentioned, we show strength and courage, and we do it also thanks to your support. Ukrainians believe in victory and do everything to win it. And we also believe that we have partners, in particular American society, with whom we will overcome the enemy. Thank you very much for the support at the international level in all areas, for military, humanitarian and other assistance. I also thank United Sikhs for the work you do for Ukraine. It is very important for people to feel supported, especially for those who have left their homes and need special care,” said Maksym Kozytskyi.
