Small and medium-sized processing enterprises of the region can attract a grant of up to 150 thousand US dollars

Acceptance of grant applications for the implementation of measures aimed at supporting the innovative transformation and development of Ukrainian processing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) has started.

In particular, the grants will support SMEs in activities that contribute to the production of innovative products, modernization of production, reduction of manual human labor, job creation, increased energy efficiency, lean production, construction of a technological, modern, digital processing industry.

This was announced by the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration with reference to the USAID Program “Competitive Economy of Ukraine” (USAID KEU), which is implemented by the company “Kimonix International Inc.”

The USAID KEU program plans to provide approximately $2,500,000 for 25 grants, estimated to be between $75,000 and $150,000. Each grant within this request will last for up to ten months.

Priorities for grant support:

Purchase of equipment, hardware to improve processes/products/technologies;
Activities related to the launch of production of a technologically new or improved product;
Activities related to the scaling of production, as well as marketing promotion of the existing product in the national and foreign markets.

Deadline for applications: December 15, 2023. Applications are submitted through the Submittable application platform via the link.

“Priority will be given to projects in which the resources of the USAID KEU Program will be combined with the contributions of grant recipients (from 30 to 50% of the total budget). The grantee’s contribution is defined as activity costs financed by cash or in-kind contributions separate from USAID KEU funding and provided either by the grantee or by other donors, for example, international non-governmental organizations, foreign governments, local and international institutions, private organizations or by individuals. Such co-financing will contribute to the successful implementation of the activity,” noted Tetyana Getman, Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv OVA.
