Residents of the Lviv region will receive a third bill: why and from whom?

Large-scale inspections of gas systems in apartment buildings across the Lviv region have revealed terrifying statistics: on average, more than 10 gas leaks are found in each apartment building.

This was reported to the Holos Sokalshchyny by the Lviv branch of Gazmerezha.

The reason for this phenomenon lies in the fact that not all condominiums or management companies were responsible for the safety of their residents. Most simply neglected to inspect gas supply systems.

To remedy the situation, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine issued Order No. 292 of 29.09.2023. According to it, GAZMEREZHYA specialists were obliged to inspect gas pipelines in multi-storey buildings for density and
tightness.
So far, the specialised services have inspected more than 10,000 high-rise buildings in Ukraine and eliminated more than 107 (!) thousand gas leaks.

“This month, the residents of the buildings where the technical inspection was carried out will receive one-time bills for the services provided. We ask them to pay them. Please note: this payment is charged only ONCE every 3 or 5 years. If the age of the gas networks in your house is more than 25 years, the frequency of maintenance will be once every 3 years. If the age of the gas networks in your house is less than 25 years, the service intervals will be once every 5 years,” says Petro Lukiyanchuk, head of the press centre of Lviv branch of Gazmerezha.
