A grant program for small and medium-sized women-owned and family enterprises is starting in Lviv region

A grant program for small and medium-sized women’s and family enterprises is launched. About 100 grants ranging from $10,000 to $35,000 are planned to be provided within the program.

This was announced by the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration with reference to the USAID Program “Competitive Economy of Ukraine”.

The grant program will be aimed at supporting:

business relocations;
business scaling on the territory of Ukraine;
access to international markets;
introduction of innovative solutions;
optimization of business processes in order to increase efficiency.

Priority industries for grant support are craft production, food processing, production of cosmetics, textiles, household items, IT, furniture and other products. The program will also consider applications for support from other sectors that meet the selection criteria.

“Lviv Oblast is a record holder for the formation of family farms in Ukraine, and 23% of such SFGs conduct their activities under the leadership of women. The project is aimed at supporting the urgent needs of women entrepreneurs and SFG owners, in particular their economic capacity, increasing production efficiency, expanding and entering foreign (international) markets. Therefore, we recommend that family farms in Lviv Oblast familiarize themselves with the terms of the USAID Competitive Economy of Ukraine (CEU) grant, which is implemented by Kimonix International Inc. and submit an application within the specified time,” said Tetyana Hetman, Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

Applications will be reviewed in stages with the following deadlines: May 19, June 16, and July 24 this year.

To apply for a grant, it is necessary to fill out the necessary documents, which are available at the link: http://surl.li/gqamf and submit the completed documents in time through the online platform https://chemonics.submittable.com/submit/260666/2023- 033.
