A register of places of temporary residence for IDPs is being formed in Lviv region: why is it important to register

Places to be included in the register will be able to receive compensation funds for communal services and support from international partners.

Another extended meeting of the Coordination Center at the Lviv OVA was held. Among the participants of the event are the heads of the Consultative Centers under the RVA and international partners, representatives of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the cluster for the coordination of places of residence of IDPs (SSCM).

The first item on the agenda was the creation of a recommended register of places of temporary residence (MTP) in the Lviv region together with the Ministry of Reintegration of De-occupied Territories in accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. 930.

As noted during the meeting, 63 of the 130 places of temporary residence in Lviv Oblast have been registered. Until October 31, this list will be updated.

Therefore, MTPs, which will be included in the register, will be able to receive funds-compensation for communal services and support from international partners. As those present emphasized, such places must meet the standards specified in the resolution.

The second issue is the employment of IDPs.

As Vasyl Barilyuk, head of the Lviv Regional Employment Center, noted, there are now enough vacancies, training and employment offers in the region.

So, recently, 952 displaced persons were employed in Lviv region with compensation to the employer of 2 minimum wages, 38 persons received grants for starting or developing a business, 85 persons received training vouchers, 78 persons from the number of IDPs underwent vocational training

The People in Need organization also presented a program-offer to support initiatives of their own business, which can be used by IDPs.
