Weather conditions are expected to worsen in the region in the coming days.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the deputy head of the Lviv OVA Yury Buchka with contracting organizations responsible for the condition and operation of public roads in the Lviv region, regarding preparation for their winter operational maintenance.
Meteorologists warn of worsening weather conditions in the coming days. During November 28-29, there will be ice on the roads of the entire region, during the day there will be significant snow and sleet in some places. The danger level is yellow.
Road services have 270 units of snow-clearing equipment ready to clean the highways of the region. 41 units of special equipment were used at night and in the morning to ensure the passage of national and local roads of Lviv Oblast, and 374 tons of sand-salt mixture were used.
Road workers of the region work every day and continue to clean the roads and treat the road surface with anti-icing materials to eliminate winter slippage.
We ask drivers to be as attentive as possible on the roads, to observe traffic rules and a safe distance between vehicles. Especially give preference to road equipment in motion.
