The company Eco-Optima group has kicked off 2025 with a significant step towards Ukraine’s energy independence—the construction of the Sokil Wind Power Plant (WPP) has officially begun. This project plays a crucial role in ensuring stable energy supply and supporting local community development.
Recently, Eco-Optima group signed a contract with the German manufacturer Nordex Group for the production, delivery, installation, and maintenance of seven wind turbines for the new wind farm.
Preparatory work started on January 10, 2025, when the first specialists and equipment arrived at the future construction site to clear the area. On January 23, several distinguished guests visited the site, including:
- Father Volodymyr, priest of St. Nicholas Church in Boryatyn,
- Andriy Zalivskyi, Mayor of Sheptytskyi,
- Representatives of the general contractor Nordic-Bud LLC.
During the visit, officials emphasized the strategic importance of this project for the local population. Beyond ensuring stable electricity supply, it also boosts the region’s investment appeal and economic growth potential.
