The Department of Transport and Communications of the Lviv Military Administration together with inspectors of the Department of Patrol Police in Lviv region, employees of the Department of State Supervision (Control) in Lviv region of the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety conduct systematic inspections of compliance with carriers’ legislation.
Today 19 buses carrying passengers in Stryi and Drohobych districts were inspected in Stryi. The inspection revealed the following violations:
- Part 2 of Art. 121-2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses: violation of the rules of stopping during the boarding (disembarkation) of passengers;
- Part 3 of Art. 133-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses: deviation from the specified route of the bus;
- Articles 35 and 40 of the Law of Ukraine “On Road Transport”.
“The Department of Transport and Communications systematically receives complaints from residents with complaints and suggestions to improve public transport. We try to respond as quickly as possible to suggestions and comments made by people. To better understand the issue, we systematically conduct raids to take preventive measures to improve the provision of passenger services, including the application of fines, “said Stepan Rudnytsky, head of the Transport and Communications Department of the Lviv Military Administration.
Employees of the Department of Transport will continue to conduct joint state control measures to improve the provision of passenger transportation services.
