Increase in Own Revenues of Regional Institutions of Lviv Region
During the first quarter of this year, institutions and organizations under regional jurisdiction received 339 million UAH in own revenues, including 123 million UAH from paid services and 216 million UAH from other sources of own revenues.
Compared to the corresponding period last year, the volume of own revenues increased by 62% (over 129 million UAH). In particular, income from service fees rose by 32% (29 million UAH), and other sources of own revenue by 86% (100 million UAH).
This was reported by the financial department of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
Income Growth in Different Sectors
“In the first three months of this year, medical institutions received almost twice as much (101 million UAH more) in own revenues, including 2.3 times more charitable funds, or 87 million UAH, and income from paid services by 37% or 14 million UAH. In educational institutions, revenues increased by 40% amounting to almost 76 million UAH, in culture and arts – by 34% (over 15 million UAH received), and in social protection – by 7% (over 29 million UAH received). In physical culture and sports institutions, own revenue remains at the level of last year – 12 million UAH.
Income from service fees predominates in institutions and organizations of physical culture and sports – 96%, culture and arts – 90%, education institutions – 56%, while charitable contributions and other revenues are predominant in social protection institutions (93% of total own revenues) and medical institutions (75%).
The received own revenues enabled budgetary institutions and organizations to spend a total of 277 million UAH in three months, which is more than the last year by 44% (over 85 million UAH). Almost 212 million UAH (76%) was directed to current expenses, and capital expenditures amounted to over 65 million UAH (24%). The volume of capital expenditures increased by 72% compared to the previous year. The largest portion was directed to medical institutions – over 43 million UAH, and educational institutions – over 20 million UAH,” informed the relevant department.
