The Pension Fund of Ukraine will finance one-time cash payments until the Independence Day of Ukraine

Pursuant to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of July 21, 2023 No. 754 “Some Issues of Social Protection of War Veterans and Victims of Nazi Persecution”, the Pension Fund of Ukraine in August provides financing for a one-time cash payment for the Independence Day of Ukraine to war veterans, victims of Nazi persecution, citizens who have special services to the Motherland.

The resolution was adopted to implement the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding One-time Cash Payments to War Veterans and Victims of Nazi Persecution”, which stipulates that the state will provide a one-time cash payment every year until Independence Day.

The decree stipulates that pensioners who are entitled to such a payment will receive it together with their pension. Funds for the payment of assistance to military personnel and other persons who belong to war veterans, are serving and are not pensioners, the Pension Fund of Ukraine transfers to the accounts of military units, institutions, organizations where the persons are serving.

“Other persons who have the right to a one-time cash payment and who are not pensioners and/or are not in service, assistance is paid upon their applications to the bodies of the Pension Fund of Ukraine with documents confirming the right to such payment and current account data, opened in the name of a person in an authorized bank,” the PFU summarized.
