The procedure for calculating pensions from April 1 to persons who continue to work is established by Part 4 of Article 42 of the Law of Ukraine “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance”. Since April 2018, such recalculation is carried out automatically, without pensioners applying.
As Svitlana Sidelnyk, head of the citizen service department No. 5 – Chervonograda service center, reported, this year pensions will be transferred to persons who, after the appointment of the previous pension transfer, continued to work and as of March 1, 2023, have acquired 24 months of insurance experience.
The right to recalculation is determined, in particular, by the insurance experience acquired in January-February 2023.
Payment of the transferred pensions will be made starting from June of the current year, with additional payments for April and May.
Such recalculation is carried out taking into account the length of service acquired after the appointment of the previous recalculation of the pension. If the pensioner has acquired at least 24 months of insurance experience, it is advisable, in this case, the earnings are also taken into account.
According to Svitlana Sidelnyk, the amount by which the pension is increased is individual for each pensioner, as it depends on the insurance experience he has and the earnings he received during the period of work.
