Entrepreneurs of Lviv Oblast can take advantage of loan programs from Oschadbank

Lviv OVA and Oschadbank are developing cooperation and looking for solutions that should help the business of Lviv region survive the difficult times of martial law.

At the end of February this year, Lviv OVA joined the coalition of “Oschadbank” for business support. Then the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi and the chairman of the board of “Oschadbank” Serhiy Naumov signed the Memorandum of Cooperation.

The purpose of the document is to expand the list of credit programs that should help Lviv Oblast businesses survive the difficult times of martial law, introduce new products for small and medium-sized businesses, and attract international programs to cooperate with Lviv Oblast entrepreneurs.

Lviv Oblast is one of the seven regions with which Oschadbank has signed such a Memorandum.

And today, October 11, in an online format, regional leaders and representatives of Oschadbank spoke about strengthening cooperation regarding business support mechanisms in the regions.

As the representatives of Oschadbank said, now the target programs for supporting micro, small and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) are:

– Business relocation (lending to enterprises that moved to the region, created jobs, ensure payment of taxes to the local budget)

– Processing industry (lending to enterprises that can increase the processing of raw materials and create a final product with further export)

– Food products (lending and grant support for MSMEs engaged in wholesale and retail supplies of food products)

– Energy supply (financing of MSMEs that provide their own business with assets capable of generating energy sources in compliance with environmental standards)

– Exporters (lending to exporters of the region, which provide foreign exchange revenue from the sale of products)

– Agricultural sector (soft loans for farmers)

– The direction of de-occupation is under development (soft loans for land demining, restoration of business activity in the region, etc.)

We also focused on the joint international grant program implemented by Oschadbank together with Sparkasse and GIZ “Grant from EU4Business for micro-business”, gave examples of combining the use of a loan and a grant: by the way, an enterprise relocated to Lviv Oblast, which is engaged in the formation and processing of sheet glass for armored cars. Received loans and a grant helped restore the company’s material and technical base.

The grant possibilities of the USAID Program “Competitive Economy of Ukraine” were also examined, in particular the provision of a grant to support the innovative transformation and development of processing enterprises and a grant to increase the personnel, export innovation potential of Ukrainian business.

For reference

Despite the full-scale war, “Oschadbank” significantly expanded the volume of credit assistance to businesses in the Lviv region last year. The credit portfolio of micro, small and medium-sized businesses amounts to UAH 1.2 billion – it has more than doubled in a year. Over 8,500 active customers of this segment are currently being served by Oschadbank. Over the course of the year, almost 2,000 companies and entrepreneurs were added to this number.

Such results were achieved thanks to the fact that Oschadbank offers a wide range of credit products for MSMEs. These are loans for the relocation of enterprises, support for exporters thanks to credit guarantees, the program “Affordable loans 5-7-9%”, partnership programs with manufacturers of equipment and plant protection products, etc. “Oschadbank” is a partner of the “eRobota” grant program, within which 2,530 projects worth UAH 1.5 billion were financed last year, and 8,000 Ukrainians will be additionally employed.
