Entrepreneurs from Lviv region can receive travel grants from the Women’s Opportunities in Ukraine Charitable Foundation

The maximum grant amount is approved by the foundation individually.

The Women’s Opportunities in Ukraine Charitable Foundation accepts applications from entrepreneurs and representatives of women’s NGOs who plan to travel abroad to participate in events or activities related to their professional, work or educational fields.

The maximum grant amount is approved by the foundation individually. The decision-making period is up to 14 calendar days. The Foundation pays the grant in two tranches: the first tranche is the main part of the grant (70%), the second tranche (30%) – after receiving a full financial report for the difference between the actual costs and the first payment, but not more than the amount of the approved grant budget.

To participate are invited

  • Individuals with an officially registered individual entrepreneur to participate in exhibitions, conferences, business training, to bring their own products, goods, services to foreign markets or to share their experience.
  • officially registered women’s non-governmental organizations that, in accordance with their charter, are aimed at protecting women’s rights and/or promoting gender equality, strengthening women’s economic independence and developing women’s entrepreneurship.

Expenses that can be included in the travel grant application budget:

  1. transportation – purchase of economy class tickets;
  2. accommodation (if the period of stay does not exceed 7 days);
  3. registration fee for participation in the event;
  4. travel insurance for the duration of the trip.

Documents confirming the trip and expenses must be attached to the application as an attachment:

  • an invitation to the event from the host party;
  • confirmation of the cost of accommodation and travel (reservation);
  • other documents confirming travel expenses;
  • a valid foreign passport;
  • a letter of support from an NGO; a letter of request if the applicant is an individual entrepreneur.

“The participation of women entrepreneurs in this grant program is extremely important, as it allows them to attend international exhibitions, conferences and training events that will contribute to their professional development, improve their skills and gain new knowledge that can be applied to business development, as well as opportunities to enter foreign markets and exchange experience in the field of entrepreneurship,” said Tetiana Hetman, Director of the Department of Agricultural Development of Lviv Regional State Administration.
