“As of this morning, there are about 2,300 trucks in the queues in all directions where Polish farmers make it difficult or almost impossible for trucks to pass. Most of all, it is opposite the Krakivets and Yahodyn checkpoints,” said Demchenko.

According to the SBGS spokesperson, the most difficult situation is observed at the checkpoints: “Yahodyn and Shehyni. There, farmers do not allow any truck heading towards Poland. Over the past day, the figures were zero. At the same time, about 70 trucks crossed the border into Ukraine yesterday in the direction of Yahodyn, and about 20 trucks crossed Shehyni.

“Also last night, we received information from the Polish side that Polish farmers allegedly decided to temporarily stop blocking traffic in the direction of the Krakivets checkpoint. According to the information we have been given, this may last until about the 13th. But we will see whether this will be observed or whether it will really be unblocked by the 13th,” said Demchenko.

Andriy Demchenko added that there are no complications for other categories of transport – cars or buses used by ordinary citizens crossing the border in both directions.
