Since the beginning of this year, 6,800 employers have submitted information about the availability of 27,900 vacancies to the divisions of the Lviv Regional Employment Service. The greatest need for workers was at enterprises of the processing industry, trade establishments, repair of motor vehicles, as well as at firms in the transport sector.
As of December 1, 2022, 4,100 vacant jobs and vacant positions remained unfilled in the region. Of them, 2.8 thousand are for workers, almost 1.0 thousand are for employees, and 0.3 thousand are for those who do not have a profession or special training.
“At the end of November of this year, the number of vacancies on the registered labor market fully satisfied the supply of labor force,” said Vasyl Barilyuk, director of the Lviv Center for Labor and Employment. – In the region, 1 worker, 3 employees and 2 persons without a profession applied for one vacant workplace. It is most difficult to find a job for leaders and managers: one vacancy for every 5 unemployed candidates.”
The average salary specified in the vacancies was UAH 10.2 thousand, which is UAH 1.3 thousand more than at the beginning of December last year. Among current job offers, 21% were vacancies with a minimum salary, 74% – with remuneration, the amount of which varied from the minimum to the average salary in the region, another 5% of job options were with earnings that exceeded the regional average.
