“Qualification centers are an opportunity to bring the labor force to common standards and improve the quality of the labor force in line with the needs of the labor market.

If a person confirms that his or her knowledge and competencies meet the requirements of the professional standard, successfully passes theoretical and practical assessments, the qualification center will issue a certificate of professional qualification, which is recognized by the state and is the basis for official employment.

Although this innovative practice has not yet been widely recognized, it will be increasingly adopted by employers every day as the requirements for official employment are only growing,” said Natalia Rybak, Deputy Director of the NMC VET in Lviv Oblast.

In September 2023, the first two qualification centers in the region were opened at Novoyavoriv Higher Vocational School and Lviv Vocational College of Hotel, Tourism and Restaurant Services.
