Modern mineral water plant to be built in Truskavets for EUR 35 million

A modern mineral water plant is to be built in the resort town of Truskavets, with investments of around EUR 35 million.

This was announced in an interview with Ukrinform by Andriy Kulchynskyi, head of the Truskavets territorial community.

According to him, at the end of last year, a decision was made to start the procedure for changing the city’s master plan in terms of developing documentation and creating a 25-hectare environmental technology park where the mineral water plant will be built.

“Geodetic work has already been carried out and there is an understanding of the load that can be placed on the soil. The project development was commissioned to a German architectural company that has worked for various global brands such as Coca-Cola. So this company has a lot of experience. … If everything goes well, the construction of the plant may begin this year. According to the investors, the investment is almost €35 million,” Kulchynsky said.

He noted that the owner chose a German designer because it was important for him that everything complied with European environmental standards.

According to Kulchynskyi, the investor is a limited liability company with several owners.

He said that production lines at the new plant will be automated, but that a lot of people will be employed in terms of promotion and advertising, and in concluding logistics agreements.

The mayor stressed that this is an image project for Truskavets.

“This water will compete very seriously in the Ukrainian and, I hope, European markets. Because the Truskavets brand is already known in Poland and has every chance of entering the Eastern European market,” Kulchynskyi said.

After the plant is put into operation, various budgets are expected to receive up to UAH 150 million a year at 2023 prices.

According to Kulchynskyi, there are two mineral water plants in Truskavets, but they have low capacity and will cease to operate with the launch of the new plant, “because the new plant will cover all the needs. They will probably be re-profiled.”
