In addition, Lviv region is a leader in Ukraine in terms of tax revenues from tourism. Last year, the region received more than UAH 345 million.
This was stated by the head of the Lviv region, Maksym Kozytskyi. “Our key priority is to develop the accessibility of tourist attractions.
“I am grateful to First Lady Olena Zelenska, who keeps this issue under her personal control and takes it to a new level. Together with our team, we are working to ensure that people in wheelchairs, as well as those with hearing and visual impairments, have access to all the most popular tourist attractions in Lviv region,” he added.
The second priority is to make Lviv region attractive to foreign tourists and investors. To do this, Lviv airport must resume operations. But this will only happen when the skies over our region are closed. This is an issue that the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration raises during every meeting with foreign partners who can influence such a decision.
“Special thanks to Julia Simpson, President and CEO of the World Travel & Tourism Council, MEP, Deputy Chairman of the Transport and Tourism Committee, István Ujhelyi and other foreign experts who have demonstrated with their personal presence that the Ukrainian hospitality industry is an important part of the European one and shared valuable advice that will contribute to the development of tourism in our country. I am grateful to the Ukrainian tourism sector for believing in and investing in Ukraine,” said Maksym Kozytskyi.
